Camargue horses, endless lavender fields, timeless villages - Explore the South of France through your lens.

About me & Pixterra

Services and history

My passion for nature was born when I was six years old. My parents gave me a book that sparked it all: Le Petit Prince des Galapagos by Christian Zuber, a French photographer, filmmaker, and writer.

Discovering that book ignited a deep love for nature and travel. Although traveling wasn't as easy back then as it is today, I knew that one day I would set out to explore the world and its natural treasures.

Since then, I have been fortunate enough to visit the Galápagos Islands and many other places. Whether gazing at distant horizons or exploring right on my own doorstep, the thrill of capturing nature remains undiminished.

The joy of photography is matched by the pleasure of sharing it with others. This naturally led me to lead photography tours for enthusiasts eager to learn and explore.

Since 2001, I have guided numerous trips in France and abroad. I regularly welcome photographers from around the world to the Camargue (for its horses) and Provence (for its lavender fields and villages), introducing them to a region rich in color and boasting incredible historical and natural heritage.

Camargue Horse & Traditions

The brand / The company

I decided to launch my new business at the end of the summer of 2015.

This project would allow me to share my passion for nature and the South of France, but above all, to bring to life an idea I had been nurturing for months :

Creating a business aligned with my deep conviction that photography holds a magical power over people, a power many are unaware of or simply haven't taken the time to discover.

During the final months of 2015, I held numerous meetings with an accountant to determine the right legal structure, develop a solid business plan, and create multi-year financial projections.

It was during these moments that the expert's presence and sound advice of an accountant proved invaluable and reassuring. I then set about finding a name for my future company. I chose PIXTERRA !

"Pix-" for pixels (digital images) and "-terra" for Earth ("Terre" in french):

Pixterra, the Earth in images.

The business officially launched on January 1, 2016.

Since 2016, Pixterra has enabled me to meet and mentor thousands of passionate photographers visiting the South of France, specifically the Camargue and Provence regions.

PixterraJourneys shares the same identity as Pixterra, but I wanted to create an English-language section to better serve my many clients, primarily from the United States and the United Kingdom, as well as those from other countries around the world.

Welcome to PixterraJourneys !
