DAY 1 - Tuesday, November 02nd & 09th

⚓ Welcome to the Camargue

Your photographic adventure begins at Marseille Provence Airport, where you'll meet the rest of the group before travelling to the charming seaside town of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer.

After checking into our carefully selected hotel, we'll head out for our first evening photography session at the renowned Pont de Gau Bird Park.

As the golden light fades, flamingos, herons and countless other bird species offer the perfect introduction to the remarkable wildlife of the Camargue.

DAY 2 - Wednesday, November 03rd & 10th

🐴 The Wild Spirit of the Camargue

Before sunrise, we'll witness one of the most iconic spectacles of the Camargue : a powerful herd of white horses galloping through the marshes, sending sparkling water into the morning light.

Around midday, we'll explore the beautifully preserved medieval town of Aigues-Mortes, where you'll have free time to enjoy lunch at one of the local restaurants.

In the evening, another exclusive private session awaits as the horses race across the dusty plains, creating spectacular clouds of golden dust beneath the setting sun.

DAY 3 - Thursday, November 04th & 11th

🤠 Horses & Traditions

At sunrise, two traditional Gardians, dressed in authentic Camargue attire, will accompany magnificent white horses among the dunes before galloping along the beach and through the Mediterranean Sea. A truly unique opportunity to capture the timeless spirit of the Camargue.

Later, we'll discover the Roman city of Arles, following its charming streets and remarkable monuments while enjoying lunch at your leisure.

As the evening light softens, we'll enjoy an peaceful session, photographing a herd of horses in their natural environment, capturing intimate portraits and authentic interactions.

DAY 4 - Friday, November 05th & 12th

🐎 Power & Elegance

This morning offers a rare opportunity to photograph two magnificent stallions playfully sparring. Their impressive displays of strength and dominance are entirely natural, carefully supervised, and always respectful of the horses' welfare.

At midday, we'll wander through the picturesque streets of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, where you'll be free to enjoy lunch before our evening session.

As the sun begins to set, we'll photograph a herd of white horses galloping through a tranquil pond, creating breathtaking reflections and dramatic splashes beneath the warm evening light.

DAY 5 - Saturday, November 06th & 13th

🌾 Between Provence & the Camargue

Our sunrise session features two elegant white horses posing among the sand dunes before galloping along the beach and into the Mediterranean, creating some of the most iconic images of the entire workshop.

Later, we'll head to the spectacular hilltop village of Les Baux-de-Provence. You'll have time to wander its charming medieval streets and enjoy lunch at your own pace.

In the evening, we'll return to the wetlands for another unforgettable session with the birds under the golden light of sunset.

DAY 6 - Sunday, November 07th & 14th

🌅 Farewell to the Camargue

Our adventure concludes with one last sunrise session as a herd of white horses gallops freely along the beach and through the Mediterranean Sea, providing a spectacular finale to an unforgettable week.

After breakfast, we'll check out of the hotel and return to Marseille Provence Airport.

Throughout the tour, our midday visits allow plenty of free time for you to choose your own lunch from a variety of local cafés and restaurants, giving you the flexibility to discover Provençal and Camargue cuisine at your own pace.

I signed up for this intensive workshop for the opportunity to photograph horses running on the beach and stallions play-fighting each other. Our group came away with hundreds of amazing images but what really sticks with me is the experience of getting to know the horses over the course of the week.

We had one afternoon with my favorite herd that included a mare and her 2-3 month old foal. The interaction was priceless ! Patrice has perfected his horse photography with these amazing creatures for many years and his expertise (and patience) is legendary.

You won't find a better guide to lead you through the experience of the White Horses of the Camargue. I hope to have an occasion to come back for another week soon.
