How many photographers will participate ?

To guarantee a personalized experience and maximum shooting opportunities, participation is strictly limited to 6 to 8 photographers depending on the workshops.

This small group size allows everyone to receive individual guidance while enjoying plenty of space during each photo session.

Which camera equipment should I bring ?

1 (or 2) DSLR or mirrorless camera is recommended, together with:

• a telephoto lens (200–600 mm ideal)

• a medium zoom (24–105 mm or similar)

• spare batteries

• memory cards

• a monopod / Tripod (optional)

A detailed equipment guide will be sent after registration to provide you with a more precise list based on the selected workshop.

What photography level is required ?

These workshops are designed for enthusiastic amateurs and professional photographers.

Whether you're looking to improve your photography or refine your creative vision, Patrice adapts his guidance to each participant's experience and objectives.

How are the villages visited during the workshops selected ?

Provence is home to a vast number of villages, each more beautiful than the last.

The selection is therefore based on their authenticity, charm, and accessibility.

Will I need waterproof equipment to photograph the horses ?

Not necessarily, but we highly recommend bringing waterproof protection for your camera and a small towel.

Several horse sessions take place while standing in shallow water.

A chest wader rental service may be offered to participants upon request.

What happens if the weather is bad ?

The Provence and Camargue regions offer beautiful photographic opportunities in almost every weather condition.

Patrice constantly adapts the schedule according to light, wind and local conditions to ensure the best possible photographic experience.

His long-standing relationships with local breeders also provide considerable flexibility when sessions need to be adjusted.

Are this workshops physically demanding ?

Most locations are easily accessible.

Participants should simply be comfortable standing for moderate periods and walking short distances on sand or uneven ground.

The water sessions generally take place in shallow water while wearing chest waders.

Which airport should I fly into ?

Airport transfers at the beginning and end of the workshops are included.

Is accommodation included ?

Accommodation is available as an optional package.

You may either:

• book the workshop only

• or choose the workshop + accommodation package.

Are meals included ?

Breakfast is generally included with the hotel.

Some workshops include meals, while others do not. Details regarding what is included are provided in the description of each workshop.

Can non-photographer partners join ?

Depending on availability, accompanying partners may be able to join.

Are the horse sessions guaranteed ?

Yes.

The horse sessions are privately organized in advance with trusted local breeders and horse owners.

Unlike public demonstrations, these exclusive sessions are specially designed for our workshop and represent one of the benefits of this unique experience.

What makes our Camargue horse workshop different from visiting the Camargue independently ?

This is probably the most important question.

The images featured on this site are only possible thanks to more than 25 years of trusted relationships with local breeders, Gardians and landowners.

Many of the locations and horse sessions are private and simply cannot be accessed independently.

This workshop offers not only photographic guidance, but privileged access to experiences that very few photographers will ever enjoy.

How do I book a workshop ?

Visit our site or contact us directly by email.

We will send you a registration form to complete with your contact details, your photo level and your preferences (accommodation, diet, etc.), as well as a deposit invoice to confirm your reservation.

A confirmation and a complete pre-course file will be sent to you once the reservation is finalized.

Is it possible to photograph the lavender fields in bloom all year round ?

No.

Lavender fields only bloom in summer. The flowering period generally runs from mid-June to late July, depending on the location, making the window for photography relatively short.

So, don't delay in booking your spots, as there won't be enough for everyone.

What does a typical day look like ?

Generally, there is a morning session, a late-afternoon session, and a "lunch break" in a village.

Sometimes, when moving between sites, we might stay out longer.

However, most of the time, we try to schedule breaks at the hotel so people can rest and relax.

How do we get between the sites ?

We travel by minibus or car (depending on the size of the group).

Travel times between shooting locations are commonly between 15 and 45 minutes.

All travel is included in the course price, so you don't need a personal car (although one is welcome if you want it for more independence).

What is the cancellation policy ?

Deposit : A non refundable deposit will be asked for all reservations

Cancellation by you more than 90 days before the course : full refund.

Cancellation 90 to 60 days before: 50% refund.

Cancellation less than 60 days before: No refund.

Cancellation by us (due to organizational reasons): full refund or transfer to another course.

In the event of force majeure (documented illness, serious family emergency), we review cases individually to find a solution.
